The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Fighters Table

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a diverse cast of characters, and a gripping narrative featuring divine entities, fiends, and malevolent powers expanding in strength within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Spoilers for the latest installment of the new season follow below.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

The latest chapter finished on a major cliffhanger and presented the initial group of adventurers who will split off from the main group to embark on their independent quest, distinct from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table features the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).

Dividing the Cast

Given 13 cast members, it was obvious from the beginning that having everyone at the same party would be impossible.

That’s why, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, weaving together the individual narratives before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Strategists, and Questers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for players who enjoy a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might look unsuited, but the actions of the third episode demonstrate why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the combat party.

Motivations for Departure

To begin with, the party knows exactly where to go next after a brutal first encounter with the antagonists.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose demise started the campaign’s events—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, invading the hidden lair, attacking Thimble, and swiping all the magical artifacts to sell off.

The traitor then paid off his liabilities and ran away to a fortified location in the northern region, beyond the city, with Teor’s brother close behind.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each adventurer has a individual motive to depart the metropolitan area:

  • The agile hero, as the close ally and trusted friend, desires revenge.
  • Kattigan has experience in the region and advises that it is a hostile location.
  • Tyranny and Wicander, having defied his family’s wishes to kill the fighter and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their status as important members in House Halovar could help the group enter areas they normally couldn’t.
  • Additionally, The fighter vowed a unbreakable promise to The savior for his deliverance and will now accompany him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

Lastly, all of them are wanted by the powers that govern Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making staying in the city dangerous:

  • The rogue and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • Tyranny and Wicander turned against the influential house and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • The target is marked for death by the family.

This leaves them little choice but to head to the northern region in pursuit of the traitor.

Future Episodes

From episode three’s follow-up content, we learn that the combat party won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight players to round up the Explorers and Planners tables.

Fans can anticipate finding out which players will be assigned to which table in the season’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
