'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League homecoming
Kane marks his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his enthusiasm in going back to the Premier League has faded and he is prepared to explore a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is currently halfway through the four-year deal he signed when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the summer of 2023.
The 32-year-old forward has netted an outstanding 103 goals in 106 matches for the German team, playing a key role in them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which was the first important honor of his distinguished career.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has previously stated that he would like to see Kane go back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England leader has now suggested that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he once was, and would certainly contemplate prolonging his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of staying longer, I could definitely see that," he commented.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be willing to talk and have an honest conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different opportunities and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the quickest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five divisions, securing the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had avoided him until he won the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would feel after breaking his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
