I'll overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.
Ex two-time unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
